Roshan

Roshan is the most powerful neutral creature in the game. He resides in a pit by the river and changes his location depending on the time of day. Killing Roshan grants the Aegis of the Immortal — an item that allows one player to resurrect after death. Later in the game, Roshan can also drop Cheese, Aghanim’s Scepter, and other useful items. Once Roshan is killed, he respawns at a random time between 8 and 11 minutes later. At the start of the game, Roshan is located in his lower pit, but at a certain time of day, he moves to the upper one, transitioning from one lair to the other.
