Buff
In Dota 2, a buff is a positive effect that enhances a character. Buffs can increase stats, speed up health or mana regeneration, grant invisibility, increase damage, movement speed, and more.
- A buff is the opposite of a debuff, which weakens a character (e.g., slowing, stunning, reducing armor, etc.);
- A buff can also refer to a hero's enhancement in a patch. The opposite of a hero buff in an update is a nerf.
