The Slayer
The Slayer was the original title of the hero Lina in DotA (Warcraft III), where she was known as Lina Inverse the Slayer. Back then, most heroes had both names and class titles "The Slayer" emphasized her role as a high-damage nuker with explosive magic.
In Dota 2, the name was shortened to simply Lina, but in the Russian-speaking community, the nickname Slayer (or Слейер) still persists as a nostalgic reference to the original DotA era.
