Break
Break is a status effect in Dota 2 that temporarily disables a hero’s passive abilities. While under the effect of Break, all passives — such as evasion, lifesteal, critical strikes, or aura bonuses — stop functioning. Break is used against heroes whose strength relies on passive skills. It reduces their effectiveness in fights and can completely shut down crucial mechanics. The effect does not impact active abilities or items.
