Bio
Melchior Seleri Hillenkamp is a professional Dota 2 player from the Netherlands who performs as a support player and is best known for his performances with ViKin.gg and Gaimin Gladiators.
Melchior began his professional career in 2015 while playing for a stack known as EE's Disciples but failed to achieve any significant results. However, the young support was slowly noticed on the pro scene and soon became a player for Sanguine Sharks, a strong tier-2 team. After the disbandment of the "sharks", Seleri crossed over to Tuho to qualify for The International 2017, but the team disbanded four days later. Melchior himself became a player for Unchained Esports, with which he won the Taurora Invitational 2 and several other tournaments. In early 2019, Melchior left the Turkish organization to focus on improving his personal skills through pubs and find a truly worthy team.
That team turned out to be ViKin.gg, which Seleri joined in November 2019. The young Romanian organization brought together all the promising players from the European server, and by the end of 2019, Seleri and the team became champions of SECTOR: MOSTBET DOTA 2 Season 1. They went on to have successful performances at WePlay Winter Madness and GGBET Championship tournaments, but they truly made their mark after placing third in ESL One Los Angeles 2020 Online. Since then, Seleri has been actively developing as a captain, and his team has become known on the professional Dota 2 scene. In 2022, Melchior moved to Team Tickles, with which he successfully gave performances in the first division of the Western Europe DPC league. Following this, the Team Tickles roster was signed by the Gaimin Gladiators organization, with whom he take the 8th place at The International 2022.
In 2023, Melchior, along with Gaimin Gladiators, had an incredibly successful season, placing first at Lima Major 2023, Berlin Major 2023 and Bali Major 2023. At all three tournaments, GG faced Team Liquid in the finals. For their success at the majors, the team received an invitation to The International 2023.
Gaimin Gladiators started their journey to TI 12 with a lower playoff bracket. Gradually advancing through the tournament bracket, GG reached the final of the lower bracket, where they faced LGD Gaming and defeated the Chinese team 2-0. In the grand finals, the team faced Team Spirit, but lost to the TI 10 champions with a score of 3:0, taking 2nd place in the tournament. The year 2023 for the Seleri ended with participation in ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023, where GG got there by direct invitational. At the end of the tournament, the team took 2nd place, losing to Azure Ray in the grand finals of the tournament with a score of 3:2.
The start of the 2024 season was not so successful for the Gladiators. First fifth place at Betboom Dacha Dubai 2024, DreamLeague Season 22 and Elite League 2024, and then 12th at ESl One Birmingham 2024 and 7th at PGL Wallachia Season 1. However, the team managed to place 2nd at DreamLeague Season 23 and the 1win Series Summer. And at the Riyadh Masters 2024, Seleri with Gladiators picked up his first win in nine months for $1,500,000. In September of the same year, the team went to The International 2024, where they had previously received a direct invitation. The guys got to the grand finals, where they met Team Liquid, but lost the meeting with a score of 3-0, taking an honorable second place at the tournament.
In October, the team competed at BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 and DreamLeague Season 24, but was one of the first to be eliminated from both tournaments. The team later failed to qualify for ESL One Bangkok 2024 and finished 3rd at the 1win Series Dota 2 Fall. After that, GG competed at BLAST SLAM I, finishing in the top 6, and in February 2025, the team placed 9th at the FISSURE PLAYGROUND and was a finalist for BLAST SLAM II.
On February 15, 2025, Seleri has gone inactive. Later left Gaimin Gladiators and joined Mouze on April 10th.
At the end of October, MOUZ participated in FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2, where they finished in 5th–6th place after losing in the second round of the Playoff stage. Later, the team made it to the top 3 at BLAST SLAM IV. PGL Wallachia Season 6 Seleri missed out due to visa issues and was replaced by kaori. MOUZ won the tournament.
At the beginning of December, MOUZ competed at BLAST Slam V, finishing in 3rd–4th place after reaching the playoff stage. At DreamLeague Season 27, the team finished its performance in the group stage, with a score of 3-3. At DreamLeague Season 28, the team finished in eighth place.
At the end of March, Seleri announced his retirement. The main reason for the player was the overly demanding tournament schedule, which made it difficult for him to balance his career and personal life.
