Player GH from from Nigma Galaxy Dota 2
Bio
GH is a professional Dota 2 player from Lebanon, the champion of The International 2017, and a silver medalist at the main event in 2019. Known for his positivity and friendliness, Maroun became the first Lebanese player to participate in The International.
GH started his career as a pro player in 2013, gaining popularity with Wired Gaming after winning the Middle East qualifiers for MSI BEAT IT 2014. Although his team ranked only 5-8th place in that tournament, they gained the support of E-LAB, one of the first esports organizations in the Middle East. GH played as a support in this team while combining it with solo mid practices in public matches, reaching the highest MMR in Europe at one point.
This did not go unnoticed, and Team Liquid invited Maroun to play instead of BuLba at DreamLeague Season 6. The team performed so well that they won the tournament. In the new 2017 year, Team Liquid officially signed GH as a main player. Under the leadership of KuroKy, he unleashed his talent and became one of the best position 4 supports in the world. By the end of the season, Team Liquid won StarLadder i-League StarSeries Season 3, EPICENTER, and DreamLeague Season 7, earning an invitation to The International 2017.
At the main event of the year, GH and his team were favorites, winning their group and then methodically defeating all opponents through the lower bracket, including formidable teams LGD Gaming and LGD.Forever Young. In the grand final, the team faced Newbee and won 3 maps. So in his first season at the Tier-1 level, Maroun became a holder of the Aegis and won over $10 million for the team.
For the next two seasons, Team Liquid continued to perform brilliantly in majors and other major tournaments. At The International 2019, they almost repeated their success of the previous year but lost to OG and took second place. After that, the players founded their own tag - Nigma, and joined it in full force. Despite the pandemic, GH has already become the champion of WePlay! Dota 2 Tug of War: Mad Moon and OGA Dota PIT Season 2: EU/CIS and even reached 10k MMR, which speaks of his desire to raise the Aegis again.
