Bio

KuroKy KuroKy Salehi Takhasomi is a professional player and coach from Germany.

He began his Dota 2 career in 2011, playing for GosuGamers. In 2012, he represented Virtus.pro and Mousesports. His real breakthrough came when he signed with Natus Vincere. The team reached the finals of The International 2013, but they were defeated by Alliance. Over the next year, KuroKy's performance declined, and at The International 2014, the team completely failed, leading to his departure.

In August 2014, KuroKy joined Team Secret, initially playing in the first position. However, after Artour Arteezy Babayev joined, KuroKy returned to the fourth position. A conflict arose between the players, and after another disappointing result at TI, where the roster finished in eighth place, Kuro left the team.

In 2015, KuroKy became the captain of 5Jungz, which was soon signed by Team Liquid. The new roster quickly became a top contender, and not long after, they claimed the title of world champions by winning The International 2017. Despite their success, the team decided to part ways with Liquid in 2019 and formed their own organization, Nigma Galaxy. That same year, they secured second place at TI.

Although Nigma Galaxy continued to perform well on the professional scene, they struggled to qualify for The International in subsequent years. The year 2024 was particularly disappointing: the team failed to qualify for several major tournaments, including Riyadh Masters 2024 and TI13.

  • September 17, 2024 - a possible new Nigma Galaxy roster appeared on Faceit, and it did not include KuroKy.

Kuro took over as coach. Under his leadership, the team debuted at PGL Wallachia Season 2 and DreamLeague Season 24, but did not get out of the group stage at any of them. Later, Nigma competed at the 1win Series Dota 2 Fall, where they finished in 6th place and placed 6th at ESL One Bangkok 2024.

2025 Nigma started with a third place finish at BLAST SLAM II. In March, Nigma competed at PGL Wallachia Season 3, finishing in 13th place. In April, the team competed at ESL One Raleigh 2025 but was eliminated in the first playoff match. Later, the team traveled to Bucharest for PGL Wallachia Season 4 but was defeated by NAVI Junior in the group stage and finished in 14th place. At DreamLeague Season 26, the roster finished in 7th place. At PGL Wallachia Season 5 Nigma was one of the first to be eliminated.

In early July, the team participated in FISSURE Universe: Episode 5, where they performed poorly and failed to reach the playoff stage.

On August 2, 2025, Nigma Galaxy was eliminated from Clavision DOTA2 Masters 2025: Snow-Ruyi. The team finished in 6th place and earned $43,750.

In September, Nigma Galaxy participated in The International 2025 where they managed to reach the playoffs but lost in the lower bracket and exited the tournament, finishing in 5-6th place. In October, Nigma Galaxy participated in FISSURE Universe: Episode 7, where they lost in the lower bracket semifinale of the playoffs and left the tournament. At FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2, the team failed to make the playoffs and left the championship in the group stage. At PGL Wallachia Season 6, Nigma finished in 12th-14th place.

At DreamLeague Season 27, Nigma finished their performance in the group stage with a score of 3-3.

At the end of March, the roster competed at ESL One Birmingham 2026, where the team finished at the bottom of the standings. However, at the following PREMIER SERIES, the roster showed excellent form, reaching the grand final, where they lost to PARIVISION and finished in 2nd place.

The team also secured 4th place at another online tournament 1W ESSENCE I, which served as a solid warm-up before DreamLeague Season 29.
