Bio
Alexander Hertek, now known as TORONTOTOKYO, became popular on the Dota 2 scene when the team assembled by Dmitry Korb3n Belov signed with Yellow Submarine.
Previously, CIS-Dota fans did not know about this center liner, as he passed their attention when changing his nickname in the new career stage. Previously, he was known on matchmaking as Temel, and participated in tournaments under the name mio.
Before becoming the first player in Yellow Submarine, TORONTOTOKYO often played on various teams in the first and second positions, and participated in the Yolo Knight, Family Team, and 5dog mixes. He began his active career as a pro player in 2019, but his first documented tournament participation was back in 2015.
After signing with Team Spirit, TORONTOTOKYO became one of the region leaders. His team placed fourth at ESL One CIS Online Season 1: Upper Division, and in the following season managed to improve the result and finish in second place, behind only Virtus.pro.
Team TORONTOTOKYO was able to start at WePlay AniMajor from the group stage and reach the lower grid, where it successfully made it through one round, knocking out Alliance, but lost to Vici Gaming and left the tournament. Its biggest achievement was reaching The International 10 after completing regional qualification, where they defeated Team Empire in the final. At the tournament itself, Team Spirit triumphed in the grand final against LGD Gaming and became The International 10 champions. After that, Alexander had a few more big wins with TS, such as 2nd place at Riyadh Masters 2022 and 1st place at PGL Arlington Major 2022. At the end of 2022, TORONTOTOKYO signs with BetBoom Team.
Together with BB he achieved good results: 2nd place at DreamLeague Season 20, 3rd place at DreamLeague Season 21. And also together with him the team took 5th-6th place at The International 2023 and 4th place at ESL One: Kuala Lumpur 2023.
In 2024, TORONTOTOKYO with BetBoom Team placed 2nd at DreamLeague Season 22 and ESl One Birmingham 2024, 3rd at Betboom Dacha Dubai 2024, 12th at Elite League 2024, 10th at PGL Wallachia Season 1 and 3rd at DreamLeague Season 23.
In July 2024, BetBoom Team participated in the Riyadh Masters 2024, where they reached the quarterfinals of the lower bracket and finished in 6th place. Then, the team competed in the FISSURE Universe Ep.3, where they made it to the playoffs and placed 4th.
In September, BetBoom Team took part in their second The International 2024 tournament for the organization. Starting in the lower bracket of the playoffs, the team passed three rounds but were eliminated after losing to Team Falcons, finishing the tournament in 8th place. After TI TORONTOTOKYO left the main roster of BB Team, after which he made only one appearance for the team as a stand-in at BLAST SLAM II.
In February 2025, Alexander joined Aurora Gaming.
The first challenge for the new roster was PGL Wallachia Season 3, where the team finished in 5th-6th place and earned $60,000.
At the end of April, the team competed at PGL Wallachia Season 4, where they lost in the lower bracket quarterfinals of the playoff stage and exited the tournament, finishing in 5th-6th place.
In May, Aurora Gaming participated in BLAST SLAM III, where they lost in the Playoff quarterfinals and exited the tournament in 5th–6th place. After that, the team competed at DreamLeague Season 26, finishing in 4th place.
On June 8, 2025, Aurora Gaming qualified for The International 2025 by winning the Eastern Europe Closed Qualifier.
On June 27, 2025, the team was eliminated from PGL Wallachia Season 5, after losing in the first round of the playoffs.
On July 4, 2025, Aurora Gaming lost to PARIVISION in the lower bracket final of the FISSURE Universe: Episode 5 playoffs, thereby ending their tournament run and finishing in 3rd place.
On August 23, Aurora Gaming competed at FISSURE Universe: Episode 6, but lost in their first lower bracket playoff match and exited the tournament, finishing in 5th–6th place.
In 2025, the team qualified for The International 2025 but couldn’t reach the playoffs and finished the tournament in 12th place.
In October, Aurora participated in FISSURE Universe: Episode 7, where they lost in the lower bracket quarterfinals of the playoffs and left the tournament. On FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2, the team did not advance to the main stage of the championship at all. At BLAST SLAM IV, the team finished in 5th-6th place. At DreamLeague Season 27, Aurora finished their performance in the group stage with a score of 2-4.
On January 7, TORONTOTOKYO left Aurora Gaming.
