Bio

Whitemon is a professional Dota 2 player in the fifth position. He was the ESL One Summer 2021 champion and was one of the first Indonesian players to qualify for The International.

Whitemon started his cybersport career in the summer of 2018 when he joined EVOS Esports. He played at the dash-3 level, but was unable to qualify for major tournaments. During the Online Era, Whitemon moved to Geek Fam, where he became a key player and helped his team rise to the top Asian teams. He then moved to T1 in late 2020 and helped the newly revamped team to a third place finish in the Dota Pro Circuit 2021: Season 1 - Southeast Asia Upper Division.

In his second DPC cycle, Whitemon again earned gold at Dota Pro Circuit 2021: Season 2 - Southeast Asia Upper Division and bronze at WePlay AniMajor. After receiving a direct invitation to The International 2021, the players participated in ESL One Summer 2021, where they won the final against Virtus.pro 3-2 and earned $175,000 in prize money.

After the win, Whitemon got a long-awaited vacation and then went to a bootcamp in Romania in August 2021 to prepare for The International 2021. He participated in ESL One Fall 2021 and the OGA Dota PIT Invitational, where he placed fourth to test his strategies in practice. And at The International 2021, he placed 7th-8th.

In 2022 Whitemon joins TSM. Together with the new team he became the champion of DPC NA 2023: Division I, which guaranteed his participation in LIma Major 2023 and Berlin Major 2023, but the team did not show much results there, taking 13-14th place and 17-18th place respectively.

In December 2023, Whitemon moved to Tundra Esports and participated in ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023, where he placed 8th. In 2024, Whitemon continued to play for Tundra and placed at DreamLeague Season 22, Elite League 2024, ESL One Birmingham 2024, DreamLeague Season 23 and Riyadh Masters 2024, and was able to qualify for The International 2024. In September, TI13 started, where the team showed great results and even eliminated Team Falcons from the tournament. Tundra got to the finals of the lower bracket, but could not cope with Gaimin Gladiators on the last map of the series.

In early October, Whitemon made an appearance at PGL Wallachia Season 2, where he performed well and placed third. Later the team went to BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 and DreamLeague Season 24, where they also showed good results. In December, Tundra finished the BLAST SLAM I event with a 2nd place finish.

On February 2, 2025, as part of Tundra Esports, he claimed the FISSURE PLAYGROUND championship title, defeating Team Falcons in a hard-fought grand final with a score of 3:2. This victory strengthened his position among the top players and further confirmed his high level of play on the international stage.

On February 9, 2025, the player became the winner of the BLAST SLAM II tournament, along with the team, defeating Gaimin Gladiators 3:0. This marks the player's second consecutive tournament victory with the team. In March, Team Spirit ended Tundra's winning streak at DreamLeague Season 25. At the subsequent PGL Wallachia: Season 3, the team also became a finalist. FISSURE Universe Episode 4 Matthew missed out, due to getting a visa to the US. In April, Tundra Esports placed in the top 3 at ESL One Raleigh 2025.

At the end of April 2025, the team participated in PGL Wallachia Season 4, where they ended their run by losing in the lower bracket final and finishing in 3rd place.

On June 27, 2025, the team was eliminated from PGL Wallachia Season 5, after losing in the first round of the playoffs.

In July 2025, Tundra Esports participated in Riyadh Masters 2025, finishing in 4rd place and earning $200,000 in prize money.

El 27 de junio de 2025, el equipo quedó eliminado de PGL Wallachia Season 5 tras perder en la primera ronda de los playoffs.

In August 2025, Tundra Esports participated in Clavision DOTA2 Masters 2025: Snow-Ruyi. The team managed to reach the grand final but lost it. Tundra took 2nd place and received $126,000 in prize money.

At the beginning of December, Tundra competed at BLAST Slam V, where they became champions. In the grand final, the team failed to overcome Team Yandex, losing 3-0. It is worth noting that Tundra has participated in every final of the BLAST series, and this victory marked their fourth consecutive championship. At DreamLeague Season 27, the team finished in fifth place, and at BLAST SLAM VI, the team didn't even make it to the playoffs.

At the end of March, Tundra became the champion of ESL One Birmingham 2026, defeating Team Yandex with a 3:1 score in the grand final.

The next tournament for the team was PGL Wallachia Season 8, where they played with stand-in. The team finished in 15-16 place, marking one of their worst results.
