History
Team Falcons, formerly known as Falcons Esports, is a multi-discipline esports organization based in Saudi Arabia. It was founded in 2017 by professional FIFA player Mossad Msdossary Aldossary and has since expanded into several esports disciplines. The club’s main partners are state-owned companies. The club formed its first Dota 2 roster in 2020. The roster included little-known players from Saudi Arabia who had competed in local tournaments.
2023
In November 2023, Team Falcons signed a roster capable of competing on the international stage, bringing together experienced players — Oliver skiter Lepko, Jingjun Sneyking Wu, and Andreas Cr1t- Nielsen, as well as young talents — Stanislav Malr1ne Potorak and Ammar ATF Al-Assaf.
The team made its debut at the qualifiers for ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023, where it successfully qualified and advanced to the playoffs. However, in the main stage, Falcons failed to win a single series, and the team exited the tournament, finishing in 5th–6th place
2024
In 2024, Kurtis Daniel Aui_2000 Ling — a two-time The International champion (as a player and as a coach in 2015 and 2022) — joined the Falcons as a coach. Falcons successfully qualified for BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024, DreamLeague Season 22, ESL One Birmingham 2024 and won all three tournaments, becoming the biggest sensation of the pro scene in 2024 and securing direct invites to the season’s major events.
After an incredible start, Falcons continued to impress with their consistency, finishing no lower than third in every tournament, but the team failed to secure any major titles that year. At the Riyadh Masters 2024, the team lost to Team Liquid in the lower bracket final, and at The International 2024, Falcons finished in 4th place after losing to Tundra Esports.
Despite the defeat at the year’s main tournament, the roster stayed together and continued to demonstrate a high level of play. TI was followed by a second-place finish at PGL Wallachia Season 2 and subsequent victories at BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 and DreamLeague Season 24.
2025
Falcons did not start 2025 as strongly. Third place, which had often been the team’s minimum result last year, became their “ceiling” at the start of the new season, with the exception of runner-up finishes at BLAST Slam III and FISSURE PLAYGROUND 1.
However, Team Falcons performed better at the year’s key tournaments this time around. At the Riyadh Masters 2025, the team nearly won the title but lost to Team Spirit in the grand final. And at The International 2025, the Falcons players finally wrote their names into Dota 2 history by defeating Xtreme Gaming in the grand final. Thus, the team’s coach Aui_2000 became the first three-time champion of The International.
The triumph at TI was followed by a victory at FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2 and strong finishes at BLAST Slam IV and BLAST Slam V.
2026
The team decided to enter the new season with an unchanged roster. At ESL One Birmingham 2026, Team Falcons set a record for the number of maps played by the same five-player lineup. At the same time, the roster’s results in the first tournaments of the year were disappointing, but their main focus, like that of other teams, was on TI and EWC.
