Bio
Zhou Emo Yi is a famous mid player from China, his main characters can be considered Ember Spirit, Void Spirit, Queen of Pain. He reached the 12,000 MMR mark in December 2023.
Emo's career started in 2017, back then he played in tournaments like H-Cup and Dota 2 Professional League as a member of Source Code team. After a while, Zhou moved to iG.Vitality and after qualifiers for The International 2018 (TI8) he found himself in the main roster of Invictus Gaming.
- Emo has dedicated more than 5 years of his esports career to the Invictus Gaming organization.
Considering the prize money, Emo's best result can be considered top-4 at The International 2021 (TI10) and a landmark championship at ONE Esports Singapore Major 2021.
- Emo famously sent a "?" into chat when iG cambecked against Evil Geniuses from 0-2 to 3-2 in the grand finals of ONE Esports Singapore Major 2021.
Emo continued to play steadily for Invictus Gaming until 2023. And it all started back in April 2018 in the iG.Vitality roster.
- November 28, 2023 - LGD Gaming announces a reshuffle in the lineup and Emo becomes the new mid player.
Emo made his debut for LGD Gaming at ESL One: Kuala Lumpur 2023, where his team finished in 9th-10th place. The squad also failed to qualify for DreamLeague Season 22.
In January 2024, it became known that Emo was leaving LGD Gaming. According to the player, his kick was voted for by all members of the team, including himself. Zhou felt that he was not good enough for the team, and in particular for the coach of the squad, the legendary Xiao8.
- September 22, 2024 - Emo joined Invictus Gaming.
Together with the team the guy successfully qualified for BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024, and also played at PGL Wallachia Season 2, where he took 10th place.
- October 8, 2024 - Emo moved under the banner of Yakult‘s brothers.
Under the new tag he competed at BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024, where he placed 5th. In December, the team participated in the MESA Invitational 2024, where they placed 3rd.
Roster started 2025 with 12th place on FISSURE PLAYGROUND, 5-6th on BLAST SLAM II and 10th on DreamLeague Season 25. In May of the same year, the team became a finalist in the ACL X ESL Challenger China, receiving $30,000 from the prize pool and earning a slot in DreamLeague Season 26 and Asian Champions League 2025, where they finished 6th and 4th respectively.
In mid-June, as part of Team Zhou, he competed in the Chinese tournament Immortal Cup S1 and emerged as champion.
At the end of August, Yakult Brothers received an invitation to The International 2025, replacing Gaimin Gladiators, who had previously withdrawn from the tournament.
In October, Yakult Brothers took part in FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2, where they failed to reach the playoffs and were eliminated during the group stage. At PGL Wallachia Season 6, the team finished in 12th-14th place.
In December, Emo missed the DreamLeague Season 27 tournament due to health issues.
