Bio
Alimzhan Watson Islambekov, formerly known as DrWatson, is a Kazakh Carry in Dota 2. His signature character is considered to be Monkey King.
Watson started his cybersport career in October 2019 as a member of KHAN. After participating in a few qualifications, he left the team. After that, Watson played in various mixes until he was noticed by Nofear, who invited him to XactJlepbI. The team finished sixth in ESL One CIS Online Season 1: Lower Division, holding their slot in ESL One Eastern Europe Online Season 2: Lower Division. Watson and his team then teamed up with B8 because the latter was eliminated from the league, but wanted to stay in the DPC system to qualify for The International 2021 and add a Dendi team bundle to Dota 2. In ESL One Eastern Europe Online Season 2: Lower Division, the team once again finished sixth and was seen as an outsider to qualify for the main tournament of the year. And it happened - B8 finished 9-12th, winning just 1 match. In October 2021, Watson was sent to the reserves.
In November HellRaisers introduces a new roster, which includes watson, finally leaving B8. Together with the new team he takes the first places in Dota 2 Champions League Season 5, Dota 2 Champions League Season 7.
After a year, in December 2022, Alimzhan moves to Entity. As a member of the Indian club watson takes 5-6th place at Lima Major 2023 and 4th place at BetBoom Universe: Episode I - Comics Zone. Also in Entity Islambekov participated in The International 2023, where he took 9-12th place. For Alimzhan the year ended with participation in the closed qualification for ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023, where Entity took 5-6th place and did not get to the main part of the tournament.
In January 2024 watson together with Entity participated in the closed qualifications for three tournaments at once: BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024, DreamLeague Season 22 and ESL One Birmingham 2024. But they failed to qualify for any of the tournaments, and their most successful performance was playing at the LAN qualifiers in Birmingham, where they took 3rd place.
