Bio

Damien kpii Sau-jing Chok is an Australian professional Dota 2 player who plays at the third position.

kpii 's career began in May 2013 when he joined the AkmA mix from Southeast Asia. His first significant tournament successes came in late 2014 with Can't Say Wips, who finished second at Defense of the Australian Spring 2014, one of the biggest Dota 2 tournaments in the Southeast Asian region at the time.

In February 2015, kpii moved to MVP Phoenix, with whom he reached 7th-8th place at The International 2015. After that, he was invited to EHOME.KEEN, where he faced difficulties in qualifying for major tournaments.

In March 2016, kpii became part of Newbee, winners of The International 2014. As part of this team, he achieved high results: 3rd place at The Manila Major 2016, 1st at Nanyang Dota 2 Championships Season 2 and ESL One Genting 2018, and 2nd place at The International 2017. After The International 2018, where Newbee had a disappointing performance, kpii joined Mineski. With them, he qualified for The International 2019, placing 9th-12th.

Damien then moved to TNC Predator, where he tasted victories again, taking first place at ESL One Hamburg 2019 and MDL Chengdu Major. With the introduction of the new DPC system in 2021, Chok joined Team SMG, advancing to the first division of the regional championship. In September of the same year, he received an invitation to Talon Esports, which recently launched its Dota 2 division. Under the leadership of Tal Fly Aizik, the team failed to succeed, after which the roster was reorganized around kpii, which allowed to pass to the top division and qualify for the PGL Dota 2 Major Arlington 2022, where the team ended up in 13-14th place. That same year, Talon Esports was able to qualify for The International 2022, but the team finished 17th-18th at the main part of the tournament, failing to make it out of the group stage.

In the summer of 2023, Damien joined Blacklist International, with which he participated in Bali Major 2023, where he again failed to make it out of the group, finishing 13-14th. The team also tried qualifying for The International 2023, but finished 2nd place there.

In early 2024, kpii became part of the newly formed Leviatan roster. Leviatan debuted in the open playoffs of DreamLeague Season 23 and placed in the top 8, but failed to qualify for the closed round. The team then had a successful run in the PGL Wallachia Season 1 playoffs in the South American region, earning an easy victory and qualifying for the closed stage of the tournament, however, he failed to qualify for the tournament itself. Also kpii failed the qualifiers for the Riyadh Masters 2024 and The International 2024.

In July 2024 Damien became one of the coaches of Team Liquid, after which the team won the Elite League Season 2, The International 2024 and 1win Series Dota 2 Fall. After that, Liquid competed at BLAST SLAM I, finishing in the top 6. In December, the team participated in a tournament in Bangkok, where they placed 2nd.

In February 2025, Team Liquid placed 7th at the FISSURE PLAYGROUNDBLAST SLAM II and DreamLeague Season 25In March, the team became champions of PGL Wallachia: Season 3 and participated in FISSURE Universe Ep.4, performing poorly and finishing in 7th-8th place. In April, the team competed at ESL One Raleigh 2025 but lost in the second round of the lower bracket, finishing in 5th-6th place. In the same month, Liquid became the PGL Wallachia Season 4 champion.

In May, the team participated in BLAST SLAM III, where they lost in the first round of the playoffs and were eliminated, finishing 9th–10th. At DreamLeague Season 26, the team finished in 8th place.

On June 29, 2025, Team Liquid couldn’t defeat BetBoom Team with a stand-in, and thus the team leaves PGL Wallachia Season 5 in 3rd place.

In July 2025, Team Liquid participated in the Riyadh Masters 2025. They were eliminated in the quarterfinals after losing to Team Falcons. Liquid finished in 5th place and earned $125,000 in prize money. At The International 2025, Liquid failed to defend their title as reigning world champions. The team didn't even make it to the playoffs.

On October 9, kpii left Team Liquid and joined the coaching staff of Aurora Gaming.

In October, Aurora participated in FISSURE Universe: Episode 7, where they lost in the lower bracket quarterfinals of the playoffs and left the tournament. On FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2, the team did not advance to the main stage of the championship at all. At BLAST SLAM IV, the team finished in 5th-6th place. At DreamLeague Season 27, Aurora finished their performance in the group stage with a score of 2-4.

At the first tournament of 2026, FISSURE Universe: Episode 8, Aurora Gaming became champions after defeating Team Spirit in the grand final.

At the following ESL One Birmingham 2026, the team finished in 5th-6th place after reaching the playoffs. Later, at PGL Wallachia Season 8, the roster advanced to the grand final but lost to BetBoom Team and finished in second place.
