Disqualification and system bug: Yellow Submarine were twice denied entry to DreamLeague Season 29 qualifiers

Eastern European team Yellow Submarine were unable to participate in the open qualifiers for DreamLeague Season 29 due to a bug on the registration website.

During the first qualifier, despite successful registration, the administrators accidentally removed the team from the tournament and did not allow them to play, instead suggesting they try again in the second qualifier.

However, during the second attempt, the team once again encountered an issue on the website. While confirming participation, team captain Egor Xakoda Lipartiia received an error that prevented the team from entering the bracket.

Xakoda noted that he was not the only one affected by the issue, as other teams also experienced difficulties during confirmation. Attempts to contact the administrators yielded no results, and the team ultimately missed the qualifiers entirely.

It is worth noting that Lipartiia acknowledged his own mistake. According to him, he confirmed the team’s participation one minute before the bracket was generated, however moderators of the FACEIT platform, where the tournament was held, cannot edit the participant list after its creation.

According to the support page, roster changes are only possible before the bracket is formed. After that, any adjustments require contacting the FACEIT Tournament Operations Discord channel, while the processing time for such requests is unknown.

For Yellow Submarine, participation in these qualifiers was important, as it was the last chance to qualify for a tier-1 tournament before the next season.

The team’s last appearance at a major tournament was at PREMIER SERIES, where they finished second in their group but failed to defeat L1GA Team in the match for a playoff spot and were eliminated without earning any prize money.

Current Yellow Submarine roster:

  • EgorXakodaLipartiia

The open qualifiers for DreamLeague Season 29 will take place from 10.04.2026 to 12.04.2026. The closed qualifier stage is scheduled from 12.04.2026 to 15.04.2026.

The main event will run from 13.05.2026 to 24.05.2026 in an online format, where 16 teams will compete for a $1,000,000 prize pool.

Earlier, Cyberscore reported on a conflict involving Team Spirit coach Milan MiLAN Kozomara on political grounds.
