Yakult Brothers will play with a substitute at DreamLeague Season 27

The organization Yakult Brothers announced that midlaner Zhou Emo Yi will miss DreamLeague Season 27 due to health reasons. He will be temporarily replaced by Malaysian player Kam MooN Boon, who last played at the Tier 1 level in 2023 with Team SMG. The organization commented on the substitution on their social media:

Emo will miss the tournament for health reasons, and in the meantime, we invited MooN, who has extensive international experience and a stable midlane playstyle. His arrival is expected to bring new rhythm and energy to the team, helping Yakult Brothers compete for top placements in the tournament.

MooN began his career back in 2015 and is considered a scene veteran. He played for Mineski for two years, during which he became champion of PGL Open Bucharest and the Dota 2 Asia Championships 2018, considered the peak of his career. He also played briefly for Fnatic but did not achieve significant results.

From 2021 to 2023, he represented Team SMG, but during this time the team failed to win any championships or achieve high placements. In 2024 and 2025, he participated in various stacks trying to qualify for major tournaments but was unable to get past closed qualifiers.

Recall that at the end of September, the organization presented a new roster, and team general manager and coach Wang Yakult Hao spoke about the team’s goals and issues with frequent substitutions, which could affect players’ morale.

However, a month ago, support Wilson Poloson Ko Chin Wei left the team, forcing another reshuffle. Despite successful qualification for major championships, the team struggles in the tournaments themselves and has yet to secure top placements.

DreamLeague Season 27 will take place from 10.12.2025 to 21.12.2025 online with 24 teams participating. The tournament prize pool is $1,000,000.
