Xtreme Gaming advanced to the lower bracket semifinals of The International 2025

In the first match of the day, Nigma Galaxy once again faced an opponent from China - this time it was Xtreme Gaming. Despite their convincing 2:0 victory over Tidebound in the previous round, SumaiL SumaiL Hassan’s squad could not repeat the success. The series ended 2:0 in favor of the Chinese team, and Nigma Galaxy were eliminated from the tournament.

Nevertheless, the team’s performance left a strong impression: Nigma surprised fans with their play at The International 2025 and became one of the most popular participants of the tournament, ranking second in fan support.

These teams had previously clashed at the Clavision DOTA2 Masters 2025: Snow-Ruyi tournament, where Xtreme Gaming also secured the win.

Before the start of the second map, Xtreme Gaming’s coach Zhang Xiao8 Ning gave an interview about their preparation for the match:

We prepared specifically for the match against Nigma, which is why we picked unconventional heroes in this series. We deliberately gave them Medusa on the second map, otherwise we would have had to play against Lone Druid.

On the first map, the Chinese team unexpectedly picked Sniper, Chaos Knight, and Elder Titan - heroes that had rarely appeared in either picks or bans before. In a post-match interview, the team’s offlaner Lin Xxs Jin noted that the team learned from yesterday’s defeat and managed to adapt PARIVISION’s aggressive playstyle to their own strategies.
