Virtus.pro will compete at ESL One Birmingham 2026
Virtus.pro defeated Team Liquid in the upper bracket final of the Western European closed qualifiers for ESL One Birmingham 2026. The team won with a score of 2-1 and earned a slot in the tournament.
VP`s offlaner Jonas SabeRLight- Volek commented on the victory in the qualifiers:
“We won the qualifiers for ESL One Birmingham 2026. It was epic. We defeated Team Liquid for the second time. We have met twice, and in both cases, we were victorious. It feels great.”
Recall that the previous meeting between Virtus.pro and Team Liquid took place during the group stage at DreamLeague Season 27. Back then, Jonas with VP also defeated his former team with a score of 2-1.

The closed qualifiers for ESL One Birmingham 2026 takes place from 16.01.2026 to 20.01.2026, except for the Chinese qualifier, which will take place from 30.01.2026 to 01.02.2026.
ESL One Birmingham 2026 will take place from 22.03.2026 to 29.03.2026. The main stage of the championship will be held from 27.03.2026 to 29.03.2026 at the BP Pulse Live arena in Birmingham, UK. Sixteen teams will compete for a prize pool of $1,000,000 and 35,460 EPT points.
