Two Arcanas and new sets: Trove of Terror Immortal Treasure released in Dota 2
Valve has released a new Immortal Treasure for Dota 2 called Trove of Terror, featuring 15 themed sets. The main rewards include a new Arcana for Tidehunter and a set for Drow Ranger. In addition to the hero sets, the developers added new appearances for Tormentor and Roshan.
The exclusive item for Tidehunter is called Maw of the Megalodon and comes with three styles. An interesting detail is that the hero holds the skeleton of Kunkka, his longtime enemy in game lore, in his off-hand slot. For Drow Ranger, the developers brought back Dread Retribution, which first appeared in the Battle Pass 2021. Both Arcanas can be guaranteed after opening 50 treasures.
All of the featured sets change not only the heroes' appearance, but also their animations, visual effects, and ability icons.
One treasure costs $4.99. Sets obtained from it cannot be gifted to other users, but six unwanted sets can be exchanged for one additional treasure. If all 50 treasures are purchased without taking set exchanges into account, it will cost $249.50 to guarantee both Arcanas.
Additional rewards are available for opening a certain number of treasures. After 12 openings, players can receive a new appearance for Tormentor, while after 40 openings, a Roshan appearance and a Baby Roshan courier become available.
Alongside the update, changes related to Necronomicon were also discovered in the Dota 2 game files. The developers changed the recipe for the previously removed item: instead of two Sage's Masks and a Belt of Strength, its recipe now lists a Staff of Wizardry and a Belt of Strength. This may indicate that Valve is working on bringing it back, although the developers have not officially announced such plans.
Earlier, Cyberscore predicted when the second act of Dark Carnival and patch 7.42 could be released.
