Tobi on Team Liquid’s form and his future in the pro scene

Temporary support player for Team Liquid, Tobias Tobi Buchner, gave an interview during the official English broadcast of FISSURE Universe: Episode 5. In a conversation with the event hosts, he commented on the team’s current form ahead of Riyadh Masters 2025, and also addressed questions about his individual level and future prospects.

Team Liquid is just starting to hit form. At PGL Wallachia, we weren't in great shape, everything felt pretty raw. Now the team had three weeks of full preparation, and it paid off. We’re clicking better, we know where we're heading. The key is not to slow down before Riyadh Masters 2025.

He also shared thoughts on his own play and the attention he’s receiving:

Honestly, I’m playing so well right now that everyone’s talking about me. In pubs, on streams, even analysts have started pointing it out. I think this is just the beginning - joining a top team is just a matter of time. It all depends on the next step.

Team Liquid finished FISSURE Universe: Episode 5 with a dominant 3:0 victory over PARIVISION in the grand final. Tobias Tobi Buchner played as a stand-in, replacing Aydin Insania Sarkohi, who missed the event due to health issues.

Riyadh Masters 2025 will take place from 08.07.2025 to 19.07.2025, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Sixteen teams will compete for a prize pool of $3,000,000.
