Team Yandex claim the BLAST SLAM VII championship title

In the grand final of BLAST SLAM VII, Team Yandex defeated LGD Gaming 3-1 to become the tournament champion, earning $400,000 in prize money. LGD received $195,000 for finishing second.

The first map was completely controlled by Martin Saksa Sazdov's squad. He played a key role in the victory thanks to an outstanding performance on Keeper of the Light. The support finished the game with a 10-1-15 scoreline and nearly matched the enemy cores in net worth.

The second map followed a similar pattern, putting Yandex one win away from the championship.

However, they were unable to close out the series with a sweep. Despite a strong start on the third map, LGD managed to turn the game around thanks to Adrian Wisper Dobles' performance on Dark Seer. Even after losing his lane, the offlaner climbed to second place in net worth.

The outcome of the series was decided on the fourth map. Sazdov and his teammates outdrafted their opponents by selecting Necrophos in the offlane for Dmitry DM Dorokhin against Yuma Yuma Langlet's Naga Siren. The pick quickly forced the opposing carry into the jungle and provided his team with a comfortable start.

After securing a significant advantage early in the game, the Eastern European squad left no room for a comeback from the Southeast Asian roster and closed out the series, claiming the title after recovering from a disappointing result at PGL Wallachia Season 8.

It is worth noting that Team Yandex officially introduced DM as a new player ahead of the tournament. However, he had previously played for the team as a stand-in at PGL Wallachia Season 7, which the roster won while dropping only a single series throughout the entire event.
