Team Liquid have completed their roster – 2 new players have joined the team

Professional esports players Erik tOfu Engel and Markus Ace Holgard have officially joined Team Liquid. The club announced the signings on its official X page.

Before joining Liquid, the players competed for Gaimin Gladiators, winning numerous Tier 1 tournaments, the Riyadh Masters 2024, and finishing second at The International twice (2023 and 2024). Erik and Markus joined Liquid in the roles of support Aiden iNSaNiA Sarkoi and offlaner Jonas SabeRLighT Volek: the first retired from professional play, while the second continued competing with AVULUS.

The breakup of Gaimin Gladiators occurred due to internal conflicts between players and the organization. Currently, nothing remains of the former Gladiators roster. There are rumors of a potential new roster, but some insiders believe the club may completely exit the Dota 2 scene. Recently, the organization also filed a lawsuit against former players, including tOfu and Ace.

The updated Team Liquid will make their debut match against MOUZ at FISSURE Universe: Episode 7. The team received a direct invitation to the playoff stage, and their first match will take place today.

FISSURE Universe: Episode 7 runs from 05.10.2025 to 12.10.2025 online. 14 teams compete for a prize pool of $250,000. You can follow detailed coverage of the tournament in our report.
