Team KOBOLDS got disqualified from BTS Pro Series 14

The Mongolian Team KOBOLDS has been disqualified from the BTS Pro Series 14. The organizer of the tournament, Beyond The Summit, announced this on its Twitter page. The reason was the suspicion of match fixing.

«Pending further investigation, Team KOBOLDS has been suspended from BTS Pro Series 14 on suspicion of soliciting match-fixing,» the statement says.

The organizers decided not to look for a replacement for the disqualified team and to start the group stage without one team. Eight, not nine teams will take part in the group tournament.

BTS Pro Series 14 for Southeast Asia and America will be held from January 27th to February 18th. The total prize pool of the online tournament is $80,000.

As reported by CyberScore, the organizers of Neon League disqualified Hydra due to suspicions of foul play. The company provided the «evidence» of the team’s guilt, but Hydra management disagreed with them.
