Former Gaimin Gladiators midlaner Quinn Quinn Callahan has announced his decision to leave the competitive scene. He made the announcement in a YouTube video, in which he also shared his plans for the future.

Quinn said that throughout his nine-year career, his motivation was to become the best midlaner in the world. According to him, he achieved that goal in 2023.

"But after that year though it had always been like a very stressful and emotional drag on me. It was always sort of worth it because I had a goal and there was the reason for the suffering for lack of a better word. But after that year that's sort of changed because I achieved what I wanted to. I had already proved I could be the best and proved that we could be the best.

And so the fire to endure the misery and endure the countless hours and missing birthdays and weddings and spending time with my family and friends and opting out of all that in favor of practicing and playing pubs and traveling and playing endless tournaments that stop feeling worth it to me.

And over the 2024 season, I wrestled with that and decided that 2025 would be my last year."

Callahan went on to thank his former teammates and teams. It is noteworthy that he recorded the video on August 8, and at that time had no idea that he would not be able to compete in The International 2025.

“I was never a perfect teammate or a perfect player, but we did this together. And I don't know how it ends yet cuz like I said, I'm recording this before TI. If we won, then it's incredible. It's a perfect end to a tumultuous and beautiful few years. And if we didn't win, that's okay, too, because life goes on. And I'm still beyond grateful for your belief and trust in me as a player, as a teammate, and as someone to go through blood, sweat, and tears and what it takes to win and be the best. I'm so thankful for all of you, and I will always appreciate this time.”

Quinn noted that despite ending his playing career, he plans to remain part of the Dota 2 community. He intends to serve as an expert in the analytics studio at tournaments, as well as record professional guides and stream.

"I look forward to doing something that isn't so time consuming and allows me to still be a part of Dota because I still want to be a part of the game. I think it's the best game ever made and I I suppose one last thank you I thank you to Valve for making such an incredible game and Ice Frog and all the people behind the scenes who made the game. I think it's I think it's the best game ever.

So I'll still be in Dota but no longer competing at tournaments. Just once again thank you to everyone someone every gracious thank you so much to everyone who has been a part of this journey. I could not have done it without you. Yeah it's been an honor and a privilege. It's been an entertaining run and I hope you've enjoyed watching the Clown Fiesta as much as I've enjoyed being a part of it.

So, yeah. Goodbye. Thank you for all the the good years and the bad. And I'll see you around."

Quinn represented OpTic Gaming, Quincy Crew, Forward Gaming, and other clubs. His last team was Gaimin Gladiators, with whom he won a number of majors, Riyadh Masters 2024, and was twice a finalist in The International. He has earned over $2,000,000 in prize money during his career.

As CyberScore reported earlier, Ame's fiancée commented on his latest defeat in the TI final.
