The closed qualifiers for BLAST Slam VIII have concluded, and we are recapping the results.

Europe

Two spots in the main stage of the tournament were up for grabs in the European qualifiers. Level UP and Natus Vincere secured them.

Level UP claimed the first spot after defeating Team Lynx 2:1 in the decisive match. The team had previously also eliminated Pipsqueak+4. That series also ended 2:1, with the deciding map lasting more than an hour.

Despite the recent temporary addition of Aybek TA2000 Tokayev, Team Lynx ended its qualifier run after losing to Level UP and failed to reach the main stage.

The second spot went to Natus Vincere, which comfortably defeated MOUZ in the decisive match of its side of the bracket and also secured a place at BLAST Slam VIII.

Southeast Asia

Team Nemesis won the Southeast Asian closed qualifier and secured the region's only spot.

In the decisive stage of the qualifier, the team defeated Direborn, which recently added Randy Dreamocel Sapoetra to its roster.

Earlier, Nemesis also eliminated Team 6seven, featuring Filipino players Eljohn Akashi Canonigo Andales and Marc Raven Fausto.

China

In the grand final of the qualifier, Yakult Brothers defeated Team Resilience 2:1 to win the Chinese closed qualifier and secure the region's only spot in the main stage.

It was already the second time the teams had faced each other for a spot at a major tournament. In June, Team Resilience defeated Yakult Brothers 2:0 in the Chinese qualifier for The International 2026 and advanced to the biggest tournament of the season.

It is worth noting that Resilience replaced support Lin planet Hao with He TK Boyi the day before, but the updated roster was unable to qualify for the tournament.

BLAST Slam VIII will take place from 29.09.2026 to 11.10.2026. The main stage will feature 16 teams, while the tournament's prize pool will be $750,000.
