PARIVISION become the champions of DreamLeague Season 29

In the grand final of DreamLeague Season 29, PARIVISION defeated Aurora Gaming 3:2 and became the tournament champion, earning $290,000. Aurora received $130,000 from the prize pool for second place.

The first and second maps turned out to be almost identical but ended with different results. Both teams picked nearly the same heroes and made similar bans. However, PVISION managed to take control from the very beginning on the first map, while Aurora did the same on the second one.

On the third map, Vladimir No[o]ne Minenko’s team completely changed its strategy by picking the Io and Muerta combo, which allowed the roster to take the lead in the series.

It is worth noting that support player Edgar 9Class Naltakyan is currently on a streak of 10 consecutive wins on the professional scene, and recently also boasted a 20-game winning streak in ranked matches.

On the fourth map, Aurora banned Naltakyan’s signature hero and managed to overwhelm the opponent with the tempo provided by Alchemist, pushing the series to a decisive fifth map.

In the final game of the tournament, Muerta was banned instead of Io, but PVISION had another prepared combo with Gyrocopter, allowing the team to close out the map in 38 minutes and secure the championship title.

In a post-match interview, the team’s coach Clement Puppey Ivanov spoke about the squad’s preparation and drafting approach:

Every game is similar, so we focus more on how to break the opponent. I took responsibility for the picks and help the guys with in-game moments. For example, how to use Smoke more effectively or how to place wards better in different situations.

I also want to highlight Aurora’s preparation. They banned Shadow Fiend and Slardar, heroes we wanted to pick. They have definitely become better at drafting.

Recall that PARIVISION competed at this tournament with Evgeny Noticed Ignatenko, who played as a substitute instead of Valeriy TripleSSS Lazarev.

At the same time, Team Yandex moved Ignatenko to the bench, while rumors within the community suggest that the player could remain with PVISION on a permanent basis.
