Mars and Phantom Assassin via Revenant's Brooch - new meta at DreamLeague Season 22

The first stage of the group phase at DreamLeague Season 22 is coming to an end, and players have already showcased some of the strongest strategies in the current meta.

Particular attention is drawn to the build involving Revenant's Brooch. Ammar ATF Al-Assaf was one of the first to use this build on the pro scene with his signature Mars during BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024. By assembling Revenant's Brooch and several Divine Rapiers, Ammar was able to obliterate enemies with a single use of God's Rebuke.

In patch 7.35c, the "brooch" was strengthened (Phantom Province: mana cost reduced from 75 to 50; Phantom Province: attacks made by abilities no longer consume mana), and now it enjoys significant popularity in DreamLeague S22. The unique ATF Mars build in the group stage was also utilized by offlaners Anucha Jabz Jirawong from Aurora and Thiay JT- Jun Wen from G2.iG.

Additionally, Xtreme Gaming's carry, Wang Ame Chunyu, found a way to bring Phantom Assassin back into the meta. Despite not being picked in the recent BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024, thanks to a new build with Revenant's Brooch supplemented by Khanda, PA deals devastating damage with Stifling Dagger, even without Divine Rapier in the inventory, easily piercing heroes with high armor due to the active ability of the "brooch."

Moreover, Revenant's Brooch looks good on Puck, but unlike Phantom Assassin and Mars, Puck requires Aghanim's Scepter and a substantial attack speed for the build to work. This makes the build too expensive, and it is not popular in DreamLeague. Instead of Revenant's Brooch, Puck players prefer to buy Parasma and later purchase Divine Rapier after acquiring Aghanim's Scepter, ignoring the "brooch."
