Korb3n: "The era of talent is over, there will be no more Miracles"

Team Spirit’s Eastern European team manager Dmitry Korb3n Belov shared his thoughts during a personal Twitch stream about the current state of the Dota 2 scene in the CIS region. He spoke about the emergence of new stars and the struggles young players face in developing.

According to Belov, the issue isn’t just a decline in young talent, but that new noteworthy names are becoming increasingly rare.

I don’t know, there are just few new top players. Let’s put it this way — someone like Alan [Satanic] didn’t come around that often before either. So who do you know in Eastern Europe, in the CIS? RAMZES666, No[o]ne maybe, Yatoro. Well, Collapse… Even before, there weren’t many

He also emphasized that it’s not just the lack of star players, but a general decrease in the number of truly skilled and promising individuals.

I’ll tell you more — even without star players, just strong players have become less common. Although, on the other hand… maybe not, actually. Now that I think about it, everyone in PARIVISION is strong, everyone in Team Spirit is strong. But what is a star player really? We’re talking more about their role in the team, not just raw talent, right? The era of talents is over. There won’t be another Miracle

Belov also mentioned the situation with NAVI Junior’s youth roster, where he believes there are potential Tier-1 level players, but for certain reasons, their individual growth was stunted.

Take NAVI Junior — there are some really strong players there too. Why am I bringing this up? Alan played for a year and immediately moved to Tier-1. The same could’ve happened with NAVI Junior players, like gotthejuice and a few others. But it didn’t happen — they kept playing together. Now it’s clear, they’ve grown, but that really held them back as individual players. Some of them could already be playing on Tier-1 teams

Earlier, CyberScore.live reported that the OG.LATAM coach spoke about the team's goals.
