Fishman: "Entity sold its roster to Cloud9 for almost $1 million”

Former professional player Dmitry Fishman Polishchuk spoke about the sale of the Entity roster to Cloud9 and player salaries in an interview with Cybersport.

According to him, one of the reasons behind the deal was the difficulty of making money from Dota 2, while the sale was worth almost $1,000,000.

Entity's owners tried to make money from the game for several years, but eventually realized how difficult it was. We even got a betting company as a jersey sponsor, but when Cloud9 made an offer, the decision was made to sell our roster.

Along with Fishman, Alimzhan watson Islambekov, Volodymyr No[o]ne- Minenko, Dmitry DM Dorokhin and Vladislav Kataomi` Semenov represented the new team. The players did not sign new agreements during the move, as Cloud9 bought out their existing contracts.

According to Polishchuk, the players earned around $7,000 per month at Entity, while their salaries increased to approximately $8,000 after moving to Cloud9. However, the transfer did not involve signing new contracts.

The most important thing is that we did not sign new contracts. Cloud9 bought out our existing agreements with Entity, which were already close to expiring. After The International, the players were simply not re-signed, and we went our separate ways.

In the end, the $1 million roster spent only a few months under the Cloud9 tag and competed at two tournaments. The team finished 5-6th at FISSURE Universe: Episode 3 and then placed 5-6th at The International 2024. After the tournament, the organization decided not to renew the players' contracts, and the roster disbanded.
