New Tidehunter and Drow Ranger arcanas: how hero popularity has changed
Following the release of the Trove of Terror Immortal treasure in Dota 2, the popularity of Tidehunter and Drow Ranger increased significantly. The main rewards in the new treasure were Arcanas for these heroes, and their release was accompanied by a substantial rise in pick rates. However, according to Dotabuff statistics, both heroes saw a slight decline in their win rates.
Tidehunter experienced the most noticeable changes. Before the update, his pick rate was 6.74%, but after the treasure was released, it reached 14.78%. As a result, the hero is now picked more than twice as often, although his win rate dropped by 0.88 percentage points.
Drow Ranger saw a slightly smaller increase. Her pick rate rose from 9.61% to 17.10%, while her win rate remained almost unchanged, decreasing by just 0.46 percentage points.

Such a noticeable increase in popularity may be linked to players wanting to try out the new cosmetic items. The developers released the Maw of the Megalodon Arcana for Tidehunter, while Drow Ranger received the returning Dread Retribution Arcana, which first appeared in the Battle Pass 2021.
The popularity of other heroes who received Immortal sets from Trove of Terror also increased. Their pick rates rose by several percent, although most of them saw a decline in their win rates.
Earlier, Cyberscore shared findings from the game's files following the update, which may hint at an upcoming PvE event, new mechanics, and a new hero.
