New online tournament announced: Elite League
Fissure Studio together with ESB announced the start of a new online Dota 2 tournament called Elite League. The prize fund of the event will amount to $1,000,000.
The tournament will consist of four stages and will be held online from March 6 to April 15.
- open qualifiers: from March 6 to 9;
- сlosed qualifiers: from March 11 to 16;
- swiss stage: from March 31 to April 4;
- round-robin stage & playoff: from April 4 to April 15.
Open qualifiers will take place in seven regions: Eastern Europe, Western Europe, China, Southeast Asia, North America, South America, and MENA (Middle East and North Africa). Two teams from each region advance to the next round, and one team from the last region. Eight teams from each region and four teams from MENA will play in the closed qualifiers. The next stage will feature the top ten teams that have advanced. And eight teams will compete in the main stage. The main stage will take place from March 31 to April 4.
