The first finalist of DreamLeague Season 27 has been determined

In the upper bracket final of DreamLeague Season 27, Team Yandex unexpectedly defeated Team Spirit with a 2:0 score and reached the grand final. The "Dragons" move to the lower bracket, where they get another chance for a rematch.

Both maps were under the control of Team Yandex, and despite the opponent's attempts to fight back, they could not seize the advantage. It’s noticeable that Yandex surpass their opponents in drafts, which became the reason for their victory over one of the tournament favorites.

Many analysts and streamers highlight the performance of support Martin Saksa Sazdov, noting his excellent map movements, warding, and draft preparation. Previously, he was part of Tundra Esports, but in October it was announced that he would play for Team Yandex as a stand-in.

In a post-match interview, carry Alimzhan Watson Islambekov shared his emotions after the victory over Spirit and talked about who he expects in the grand final:

We’re happy with the win, although it was even more satisfying to beat Tundra. The new patch was personally difficult for me, especially in pubs, and as a team we are still trying heroes for ourselves, but we’re glad it’s working out. In the grand final, I think it will be Xtreme Gaming - they play well, and I’d like to face them.
