Patch 7.37: community reaction
Last night, Valve released the major balance patch 7.37 for Dota 2, addressing the facets and innate abilities of heroes, as well as reworking numerous game mechanics. Active members of the Dota 2 community have already commented on the update, and we have gathered their opinions in one article.

Team Spirit manager Dmitry Korb3n Belov noted that Valve acted wisely by reworking the innate abilities that gave the hero two abilities at the first level.
The patch is logical; they fixed the facets of heroes who had two skills at the first level (innate plus leveled-up spell)
However, 1win coach Timur Ahilles Kulmukhambetov commented not so much on the patch itself but on its timing. The thing is, his team is currently competing in the Elite League Season 2, and the players will have to learn the update immediately in the field.
Imagine the faces of players who will have to play on the new patch during the tournament. Oh, that’s us
Supports Edgar 9Class Naltakyan and Vladislav Antares Kertman have already tested the changed heroes. Antares was unhappy that Valve continues to nerf his signature Skywrath Mage, while 9Class has already found his favorite hero of the patch: Nature`s Prophet.
Skywrath Mage has been dead for a year and a half, in all facets, and they keep killing him further
In terms of imbalances, I found Furion; use him. The rest have been balanced
Former carry of Shopify Rebellion Artour Arteezy Babaev strongly disliked the buff to Medusa. He compared how this hero was in 2014 to now, noting a significant buff to the character.
Medusa in 2014 – can’t stun/slow/root, Medusa in 2024 – passive movement and attack speed slow + anti-teleport and roots. Interesting to see what happens in another 10 years; maybe she will just be given a global ability.
Position five player Vladislav Rein Kosygin, currently competing at the Clavision Snow Ruyi Invitational with Virtus.pro, stated that the patch slightly changed the meta, but key heroes for his team remained in place, and VP is ready for the upcoming match against Talon Esports.
As previously reported by Cyberscore.live, patch 7.37 has been released in Dota 2 .
