Arteezy on patch 7.39: "This seems to be the worst patch for carries in my life"
The well-known Canadian carry player Arthur Arteezy Babaev shared his opinion on the current patch 7.39 in Dota 2. According to him, the carry role has now lost its significance, and the outcome of games almost does not depend on the player in this position.
I try not to play carry. If I have the opportunity to choose any role other than carry — I pick that. This is probably the worst patch for carries in my career. In current matches, you barely influence the outcome. Of course, if you win your lane, it’s a contribution to the team, but overall the victory or defeat is decided without the carry’s participation. And I am talking specifically about this patch, not the previous ones.
Also, recently PARIVISION carry Alan Satanic Gallyamov shared his opinion, noting the strengthening of ranged heroes in patch 7.39 and expressed readiness to adapt to meta changes by trying new heroes in official matches. Right after the release of the patch with fixes, he named relevant heroes for playing in the carry position.
Recall that patch 7.39 was released by Valve on May 23 and introduced significant balance changes to many carry heroes. Along with the main update, two additional patches with fixes were also released.
Earlier, Cyberscore summarized the statistics of the best heroes for each role in patch 7.39b.
