Vac ban
VAC ban (Valve Anti-Cheat ban) is an automatic ban issued by the Valve Anti-Cheat system for using cheats in Source engine games such as CS:GO, Dota 2, Team Fortress 2, and others.
Once a VAC ban is applied:
- you cannot play on secure servers for that game;
- the ban is permanent and cannot be removed;
- VAC bans are displayed on your Steam profile.
Note: even if cheats are removed, VAC can issue a delayed ban if a violation was detected.
