Support (supp)

Support (supp) — a hero whose main role is to assist the carry, place wards, provide vision, heal, initiate or cancel TPs, and control enemies with disables (stuns, silences, slows), while giving up farm for the team's benefit. These heroes are often picked for their crowd control, saving abilities, or utility in teamfights. Usually played as position 4 (soft support) or 5 (hard support).
