Sikle: "It seems that the update introduced something aimed at identifying matches involving wintraders"

Team Spirit analyst Mark sikle Lerman shared that with the extension of the "Crownfall" event, Valve might have added a tool to Dota 2 to counter wintraders. He shared this in his personal Telegram channel.

It seems that the update introduced something aimed at identifying matches involving wintraders and/or bots (or preparations are underway, as the coordinator now collects more data)

According to new information, now any games involving suspicious activity by account boosters simply won’t be counted by the coordinator. After the match, the results will display a notification stating that the game was not counted because it was flagged as suspicious. Previously, the Dota 2 community had repeatedly criticized Valve for not taking action against wintraders and bots.

Recently, analyst and founder of the portal Spectral.gg, Leamare, revealed that he is currently working with his colleague degaz on a filter to analyze the European leaderboard. According to the data they have already gathered, about 40% of the current top MMR players in Europe are wintraders.

Earlier, CyberScore.live reported that Resolut1on created a private league for professional Dota 2 players as an alternative to matchmaking.
