Thunder Predator is a South American Dota 2 esports organization based in Peru. It was formed through the rebranding of the Thunder Awaken team following sponsorship from the Acer Predator brand.

2017–2020

The team’s early years were marked by constant roster changes. In 2018, the roster—which included Paul Jeimari Cabezas, Frank Frank Arias, Elvis Scofield Peña, Sergio Prada Toribio, and Christian Atun Cruz—was disqualified from the qualifiers for The International 2018 due to the use of macros by player Atun.

The first stable and successful lineup was formed in late 2019 under the captaincy of Romel “Mjz” Quintero, who was joined by Alonso Mnz León, Leonardo Leostyle- Sifuentes, Frank Frank Arias, and Joel MoOz Mori. In 2020, the team cemented its status as one of the region’s leaders by winning silver at OGA Dota PIT S2: Americas and ESL One Thailand 2020: Americas.

2021

In early 2021, Thunder Predator made a breakthrough on the international stage, finishing in 5th–6th place at the ONE Esports Singapore Major 2021. However, at the main tournament of the year, The International 2021, the roster underperformed, finishing in last place (17th–18th; 0–16 in the group stage), which led to the team’s complete disbandment.

In November 2021, the organization signed a promising new South American roster (the former NoPing e-sports roster): Christian Pakazs Savin, Gonzalo Darkmago Herrera, Rafael Sacred Hinostros, Farit Matthew Puente, and José Pandaboo Padilla.

2022

In early 2022, the team returned to its historic name Thunder Awaken and continued to compete under that name.
