History
Despite a lack of major achievements in international tournaments, Poland has made a significant contribution to the development of professional Dota 2.
For many years, Polish players have represented the strongest European teams, and Michał Nisha Jankowski is considered one of the best players in the world.
2009–2022
The national team’s first major international tournament was the European Nations Championship 2009, where the team finished among the top nine national teams in Europe.
After a long hiatus, Poland returned to the international stage in 2022, participating in the EEF Dota 2 Qualifier and then competing in the E IESF World Esports Championship 2022E.
Over the years, Nathan Exotic_Deer Michalewicz, Marcel Ekki Holovienko, and other representatives of the Polish scene have played for the national team.
2023–2025
In the following years, the national team participated in qualifiers for the IESF World Esports Championship and the Global Esports Games but failed to advance to the main stage of either tournament.
The team also competed in the qualifiers for the European Esports Championship 2025, but once again failed to secure a spot in the main stage of the tournament.
2026
In early 2026, a major championship, the Esports Nations Cup, was announced.
Representatives of the Polish esports scene submitted an application to participate in the tournament, appointing Oskar Boskey Richlitz as the national team’s head coach.
The final roster included players who had previously represented the national team, namely Sebastian Steq Gazek, Jakub Eejit Sovnor, Exotic_Deer, Ekki, and The International 2024 champion Michał Nisha Jankowski.
Thanks to Nisha’s strong performance on the Tier 1 scene, Poland earned enough national ranking points to receive a direct invitation to the tournament.
