Chaos Esports Club (known as Digital Chaos until 2018) is an American esports organization founded in 2015 by DotaCinema creator Shannon SUNSfan Scotten.

The club rose to prominence after its sensational run to the grand final of The International 2016 and later became home to several of Europe's and North America's strongest Dota 2 rosters.

In 2018, the organization underwent a rebranding and adopted the name Chaos Esports Club.

2015–2017

In August 2015, the organization unveiled its first roster featuring Tyler TC Cook, Yawar YawaR Hassan, Kanishka BuLba Sosale, Kurtis Aui_2000 Ling, and Sivatheeban 1437 Sivanathapillai.

After unsuccessful qualifiers for the first Major tournaments, the lineup was almost completely rebuilt. Roman Resolut1on Fominok became the team's new carry, joined by Aliwi w33 Omar, David Moo Hull, Martin Saksa Sazdov, and Rasmus MISERY Filipsen.

The revamped roster became one of the biggest revelations of the season, qualifying for most of the major tournaments in 2016.

The team's greatest achievement was a runner-up finish at The International 2016, where it lost to Wings Gaming. It later won ESL One Genting 2017 and also finished in the top three at The Boston Major 2016.

Following the departure of the organization's founder SUNSfan, the entire roster left the club. In April 2017, the organization signed the Team Onyx stack featuring Mason mason Venne, Abed Abed Azel Yusop, Kim DuBu Doo-young, Jimmy DeMoN Ho, and BuLba, who had previously played for the organization.

The new lineup failed to replicate the previous success. The organization made several more roster changes before disbanding the team once again at the end of 2017.

2018–2019

At the start of the new season, the organization rebranded as Chaos Esports Club while retaining its management and signing the Animal Planet stack. However, after several online tournaments, the club released the roster and temporarily stepped away from the competitive scene.

After a short break, Chaos Esports Club signed the paiN Gaming lineup featuring William hFn Medeiros, Aliwi w33 Omar, Danilo Kingrd Nascimento, Otávio tavo Gabriel, and Rasmus MISERY Filipsen.

In May, tavo and Kingrd left the team and were replaced by Maurice KheZu Gutmann and Milan MiLAN Kozomara. Shortly afterward, w33 joined Team Liquid, prompting Chaos Esports Club to sign Lasse MATUMBAMAN Urpalainen, who had recently departed the European squad. Later, Cheng vtFaded Jiahao also joined the roster, replacing hFn as the team's carry.

The rebuilt lineup successfully qualified for The International 2019 through the European qualifiers. The team finished in 9th–12th place at the event before the organization once again disbanded its roster.

Later that year, Chaos Esports Club signed the Quincy Crew lineup consisting of Yawar YawaR Hassan, Quinn Quinn Callahan, Jonas SabeRLight- Volek, Arif MSS Anwar, and Avery SVG Silverman as captain.

The new roster quickly finished second at DOTA Summit 11 and qualified for DreamLeague Season 13, but those would become the club's final notable achievements.

2020

Following a disappointing performance at DreamLeague Season 13 and a failed qualification for ESL One Los Angeles 2020, the organization disbanded its Dota 2 division and exited the discipline.
