History

Wildcard Gaming is a North American club established in 2017 that owns rosters in popular cybersports disciplines such as League of Legends, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, and Rocket League. On December 1, 2021, the organization launched its Dota 2 division by signing a stack of D2 hustlers.

At the time of the signing, the D2 hustlers mix was competing in the North American first division, with experienced cyber sportsman Samuel Sammyboy Anderson leading little-known players Luke YamSun Vaughn, Jose Esau esK Perez Coronel, Cedric Davai Lama Dekmin, and Alexander Alexxo Dicklich. Wildcard Gaming was able to earn a sensational win over the region's face Evil Geniuses in the first round of the 2021/2022 DPC season for them, but further Sammyboy's team failed to surprise anyone. The team finished the Winter Tour in 5th place, retaining a slot in the first division.

The spring round was without sensations for Wildcard Gaming. The team lost to all the favorites from the "big three" of the region in the form of Quincy Crew, TSM and Evil Geniuses with a score of 0:2, but beat all other squads on DPC NA 2021/2022 Tour 2: Division I and took the 4th place. Wildcard Gaming has thus cemented itself as a representative of the North American Division I and has established itself as a dangerous opponent to be reckoned with.

The summer round of the DPC season for Wildcard Gaming followed the same pattern as the previous two. The roster lost to the leaders of the region, but won everyone else, ending up in the middle of the league standings and retaining their place in the first division for the next season. As the team's support Alexxo admitted, the players are not happy with this result, but their goal is to get to The International 2022 through qualifications, which is what the team will be preparing for.
