Bio
Nikolai WoE Ruban is a Russian professional player in the Dota 2 discipline. He plays in the carry position and performs well on Bloodseeker, Anti-Mage, and Spectre.
On the competitive Dota scene, WoE began playing in 2021. At the start of his career, he played for BRAVOCOMRADES, TropicThunder, and HYDRA JR. In February 2022, as part of Darling, Nikolai participated in Lidoma Series V, where he became the silver medalist. Then WoE moved to Tenualosa, under whose banner he became a finalist of the Electronic Sports Federation League and placed in the top 4 at European Pro League Season 1.
In March 2023, WoE left the roster of Tenualosa, after which he played unsuccessfully for teams like qualifiers enjoyers, xalunmend, and No Sorry. Additionally, in May, Nikolai, as part of the stack gigateam 2.0, won the Russian Esports Championship 2023, and in July, he played as a substitute for UALEIKUMNIHAO at Phygital Games 2023 S2 and placed 5th. In August, he joined Ancient Tribe to participate in The International 2023: Western Europe Qualifiers, where he finished 9th.
At the end of 2023, Nikolai joined Matreshka. Under this tag, the player participated in the qualifiers for ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023, where the team placed 5th and could not advance to the closed stage. At the beginning of 2024, WoE as part of Matreshka participated in qualifiers for tier-1 tournaments, such as BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024, DreamLeague Season 22, ESL One Birmingham 2024, and PGL Wallachia Season 1, but the team couldn't advance to the closed stage. In the summer, the team tried their luck in the open qualifiers for The International 2024, where Matreshka came very close to victory, finishing 2nd, but still did not advance further.
In June 2024, WoE joined One Move. Under this tag, he competed in CCT Dota 2 Series 1 and LEON.BET MASTERS #1, finishing in fifth and fifteenth place respectively.
On March 25, 2025, WoE moved to the bench after the team's unsuccessful performance at FISSURE Universe Ep.4, where the team finished in last place.
In May 2025, One Move placed WoE on the transfer list ahead of FISSURE Universe: Episode 5.
On October 5, Kalmychata became the champions of European Pro League 30, defeating eSpoiled 3:2 in the grand final.
On October 19, Kalmychata officially ceased to exist.
