Bio

Song Heen Guo Li is a professional Dota 2 player. He was named the 2020 Coach of the Year by Esports Awards.

He started his career as a player in 2013 with MVP Phoenix. The team made a name for itself by winning the Nexon Sponsorship League Season 2. Despite a great performance on the Asian stage, things were not so smooth for the team at international tournaments. at the Dota 2 Asia Championships 2015, the team finished in last place. After failing at the tournament, Heen moved to MVP.HOT6. Having taken first place at Mineski Pro-Gaming League Season 7, the team received an invite to the closed qualifications for The International 2015, which they successfully passed. At the tournament MVP.HOT6 took the last place. After the World Cup, the club once again shuffled its rosters, so Heen was once again in MVP Phoenix. Song played there until November 2015, after which he decided to take a break from competition.

Heen returned to the professional scene as a coach when KuroKy called him to coach Team Liquid. At The International 2017, the team was victorious and won the StarLadder i-League Invitational Season 4 and AMD SAPPHIRE Dota PIT League. However, it later lost to Team Secret at DreamLeague Season 8 at the end of 2017, but that didn't stop Heen's charges - in the second half of the season, Team Liquid earned gold at StarLadder i-League Invitational Season 4 and China Dota2 Supermajor and silver at EPICENTER XL and ESL One Genting 2018. At the main tournament of the year, however, the team lost to Evil Geniuses in a match to reach the lower grid finals. After The International 2018, Heen left Team Liquid and a year later became the coach of TNC Predator. Under his leadership, the team took 4th place at EPICENTER Major 2019, and 9th-12th place at The International 2019.

Later, Heen moved to the position of coach at Team Secret. The team performed well at tier-1 tournaments: 3rd place at The International 2021, ESL One Malaysia 2022 and Betboom Dacha 2023, 4th place at Riyadh Masters 2022 and 2nd place at The International 2022, but Secret failed to win at the big event. The following year the team could not even qualify for TI.

The year 2024 started with a lot of qualifiers for major tournaments, but Team Secret failed to qualify for every tournament. The team played at DreamLeague Season 22, Elite League 2024 and PGL Wallachia: Season #1 without much success. After failed qualifiers at Riyadh Masters 2024 and TI13 , the team completely fell apart. Only in November Puppey was able to assemble a new roster, but even his start started badly: failure at the qualification for the ESL tournament in Bangkok and last place at the 1win Series Dota 2 Fall.
