History
Team Secret is a european cybersports organization. The roster is among the most titled and stable teams in history.
Team Secret was founded in 2014 by Clement Puppey Ivanov and Kuro Kuroky Tahasomi.
The original roster of the team consisted of Gustav s4 Magnusson, Tal fly Ayzik, Johan N0tail Sundstein. But, the lineup changed very often in the first year, so you could see players like Artur Arteezy Babaev, Saahil Universe Arora, Rasmus Misery Berz Philipsen and others.
Team Secret showed great results and took good places in many tournaments, such as 3-4th place at ESL One New York 2014, first places at XMG Captains Draft 2.0 and Dota Pit League Season 2. In 2015, the team tried their hand at The International 15, but took only 5th place. After that Kuroky left the team.
Secret has various achievements in its piggy bank: 1st place at Shanghai Major 2016, 2nd place at ESL One Hamburg 2017, 2nd place at The Kuala Lumpur Major and first places at 3 out of 4 Major 2019. In total, the team has won 5 "majors". The club's biggest achievement is a 4th place at The International 2019.
In 2021, Team Secret placed third at The International 2021, taking $3 million dollars from the prize pool, and later placed fifth at DreamLeague Season 17.
The next year started with fifth place at DPC WEU 2021/2022 Tour 3: Division I, fourth place at Riyadh Masters 2022 and third place at ESL One Malaysia 2022. The team had a great performance this season and managed to qualify for The International 2022, where they placed second.
In 2023, Team Secret participated in the regional DPC league, finishing eleventh at DreamLeague Season 20, twelfth at Riyadh Masters 2023 and third at BetBoom Dacha 2023. To all that, the team once again tried to qualify for the biggest event of the year, but this time nothing came of it. A little later, the guys qualified for ESL One Kuala Lumpur, where they stopped in the main part of the tournament in seventh place.
And in 2024, Secret tried their hand at qualifying for BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024, DreamLeague Season 22, ESL One Birmingham and DreamLeague Season 23. However, the team managed to qualify only for DreamLeague Season 22, where the team took eleventh place. A little later the team played at Elite League 2024 and received an invitation to PGL Wallachia: Season #1, and in June took part in the closed qualification of the Western European region for Riyadh Masters 2024, where they finished in third place.
In August 2024, rumors spread across the internet that Team Secret had completely disbanded the roster. Kordan and ah fu were seen in the Yiwei Esports lineup at the PGL Wallachia Season 2 open qualification for Southeast Asia. However, there has been no official announcement regarding changes in the roster.
- August 13, 2024 - It was revealed that Crystallis, Kordan, and BOOM had left Team Secret.
On the same day, Team Secret presented a new roster for the PGL Wallachia Season 2 qualification. The new roster looked like this: shad, Adzantick, Tobi, Kyzko and Puppey.
- November 10, 2024 - Team Secret officially completes the roster, which includes Kyzko, seimei, 423, Ainkrad and Puppey.
The updated team debuted at the qualifiers for ESL One Bangkok 2024, but failed to advance to the tournament. Later, Team Secret competed at the 1win Series Fall, but was the first to be eliminated there as well. In December, Parker and Miksa joined the team to play in the qualifiers for FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2025, replacing 423 and seimei.
- January 5, 2025 - xn丶e and Thiolicor replaced Ainkrad and Kyzko.
On February 7, Team Secret announced the suspension of its Dota division.
