Bio
Airat Silent Gaziev is a professional Dota 2 player from Russia, a champion of major tournaments and a repeated participant and two-time winner of The International (as a coach). He gained fame thanks to his performances on the kerry position in Team Empire.
Silent started his cybersport career in Dota 2 in 2012, when he joined Moscow Five. The promising squad with PGG and Vigoss won the weekly Play4Dota 2012 #1 and joinDOTA Masters X, got "silver" StarLadder StarSeries Season 1 and "bronze" StarLadder StarSeries Season 2, for which he was invited to The International 2012. The first main event of the year was a scouting mission for Ayrat: he took 13-16th place and returned home without prize money, but he showed himself to be a talented and promising player.
He started the new season with Team Empire: the team won the Round Robin StarLadder StarSeries Season 3, and took 2nd place at the tournament itself. This was followed by victories at RaidCall Dota 2 League Season 1, ASUS Open 2012 Finals and other competitions, which made Ayrat and his teammates the favorites of the region, but due to unfortunate roster changes, the roster was sharply moved to the outsiders, so Silent left it to join Quantic. Despite a good start, this team failed at The International 2013 qualifications, and Airat left the team in favor of Team Empire.
The years 2014 and 2015 became very significant for Silent, as he participated in all the top tournaments, won Techlabs Cup 2014 Season 1, Dota 2 Champions League Season 3, StarLadder StarSeries Season 11, joinDOTA MLG Pro League Season 1, Dota 2 Champions League Season 5 and others. It would seem that one of the strongest teams in the world should either win at The International or definitely climb to the top of the rankings, but there was no luck with that: in these years Team Empire entered only the top-14 and top-12 respectively.
After that, Ayrat's achievements went downhill, with a brief comeback only in 2017, when as part of Winstrike Team he finished 3rd at EPICENTER XL and made it to the top 9-12 of The International 2018 after winning regional qualifiers.
After wrapping up his playing career in 2019, Silent joined Team Spirit as a coach, and with the team finished in first place at The International 2021. After the spot replacement of the team's mider Alexander TORONTOTOKYO Hertek with Denis Larl Sigitov in 2022, the team started its way to re-domination on the proscenium and in 2023 Silent together with the guys once again raised the coveted Aegis above their heads.
The next year didn't start off so well for Spirit. First, 6th place at BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024 and 4th place at DreamLeague Season 22, DreamLeague Season 23 and 1WIN Series Spring, then 13th at Elite League 2024 and 10th at ESl One Birmingham 2024. However, the team managed to come together and show a great result at PGL Wallachia Season 1, taking 1st place there, defeating Xtreme Gaming in the final with a score of 3:2.
At the Riyadh Masters 2024 Team Spirit failed again, taking 7th place and although then became a finalist at the Clavision Snow Ruyi Invitational and FISSURE Universe Ep.3, at The International 2024 took an extremely disappointing 9th place, after which Spirit 's star roster disbanded and Silent went on vacation.
- January 5, 2025 - Silent returned to Team Spirit.
The first tournament after vacation for Airat was FISSURE PLAYGROUND, where the team took 4th place. In March, the updated roster secured its first victory at DreamLeague Season 25, defeating Tundra Esports with a score of 3-2. Later that month, the team placed in the top-4 at PGL Wallachia: Season 3 and participated in FISSURE Universe Ep.4, where they lost in the second round of the lower bracket and finished in 6th place. In April, Team Spirit became a finalist of ESL One Raleigh 2025, where they lost to PARIVISION 1:3.
A bit later, the team participated in BLAST SLAM III, finishing their run in the semifinals and placing 3rd-4th. In the summer, Spirit competed at PGL Wallachia Season 5 and finished in 4th place. In July, the team became a two-time champion of the Riyadh Masters tournament series as part of the Esports World Cup 2025, defeating Team Falcons in the grand final with a score of 3-0.
At FISSURE Universe: Episode 6, the team took 2nd place. At The International 2025, the two-time world champions suffered a sensational defeat. The Dragons failed to even reach the playoffs. The team lost to Team Falcons in an elimination match in the group stage.
At the end of October, Spirit participated in FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2, where they finished in 6th–8th place after losing in the second round of the Playoff stage.
In November, Spirit competed at BLAST SLAM IV, where they reached the playoffs but lost in the quarterfinals, finishing in 5th–6th place. In the subsequent PGL Wallachia Season 6, Team Spirit reached the final but unexpectedly lost to MOUZ in the final match.
At DreamLeague Season 27, Team Spirit delivered a solid performance and reached the grand final. However, the team failed to defeat Team Yandex in the title match.
