Bio

SumaiL is the youngest ever winner of The International, a talent whose phenomenal play has and continues to delight many to this day. He was born in Pakistan and started playing Dota 2 at a young age. In 2014, he moved to the United States with his family.

At the age of 15, Sumail signed a contract with Evil Geniuses, and made his debut for this team on the cybersports scene. They immediately showed great results: second places at JoinDota MLG Pro League Season 1 and The Summit 3 tournaments and a victory at the Dota Asia Championship 2015, where Evil Geniuses won a confident victory over Vici Gaming. In July 2015, Evil Geniuses again showed excellent play at the Dota Pit League Season 3 tournament and delighted their fans.

Little by little, Sumail continued to prove that at such a young age, he is capable of competing with the best players on the mid lane. He showed a new swing of his skills on the Storm Spirit hero, as well as a complete understanding of his heroes. But the biggest test was The International 2015. Evil Geniuses quickly became the leaders of their group and confidently made it to the playoffs, losing only to Chinese rival CDEC Gaming, whom they defeated in the finals. They ended up winning the aegis and $6.5 million in prize money.

After The International Sumail continued to play for Evil Geniuses and continued to achieve good results. At the end of 2016, they beat Newbee at China Top 2016, and six months later they met again at The Manila Masters and won again. At Dota Pit League Season 5 Evil Geniuses were able to defeat OG in the finals.

In 2019, SumaiL left Evil Geniuses and joined Quincy Crew along with his brother YawaR, but his stay with this team lasted only a few weeks. Quincy Crew's manager commented on the event, stating that the player was not a good fit for their squad. In January 2020, SumaiL signed a contract with OG. In April of that year, the team finished second at the ESL One Los Angeles 2020 Online tournament, but by the end of July, SumaiL had already left the roster. As of September 2020, SumaiL was not on a professional team, but his immense potential made him a coveted player for many organizations.

In the spring of 2022, SumaiL joined the Nigma Galaxy team, where he played alongside Miracle- and KuroKy. In this squad, SumaiL placed 5-6 at Riyadh Masters 2022 and 7-8 at ESL One Malaysia 2022. A year later, in May 2023, the player was loan by Team Aster. As a member of the Chinese team, SumaiL played at Bali Major 2023, where he took 9-12th place, and also participated in the qualification for The International 2023, but without success. On December 21, 2023, Nigma Galaxy announced that Sumail was returning to the team as Midlaner.

In the spring of 2024, SumaiL played as a substitute first for Team Falcons at ESL One Birmingham 2024 and then for Shopify Rebellion at PGL Wallachia Season 1.

In the summer of 2024, Nigma Galaxy participated in the qualifications for Riyadh Masters 2024 and The International 2024 together with Sumail but failed to qualify for either tournament. In July, the team participated in the Clavision Snow Ruyi Invitational, a LAN tournament in China, where they finished in 3rd place, losing to Team Spirit in the final.

In October, the team finished 14th at PGL Wallachia Season 2, failing to advance from the group stage. At DreamLeague Season 24, the roster suffered the same fate. Later, Nigma competed at the 1win Series Dota 2 Fall, where they finished in 6th place and placed 6th at ESL One Bangkok 2024.

2025 Nigma started with a third place finish at BLAST SLAM II. SumaiL later replaced Malr1ne in the Falcons roster at DreamLeague Season 25 and finished in 5th place. In March, Nigma competed at PGL Wallachia Season 3, finishing in 13th place. In April, the team competed at ESL One Raleigh 2025 but was eliminated in the first playoff match. Later, the team traveled to Bucharest for PGL Wallachia Season 4 but was defeated by NAVI Junior in the group stage and finished in 14th place. At DreamLeague Season 26, the roster finished in 7th place. At PGL Wallachia Season 5 Nigma was one of the first to be eliminated.

In early July, the team participated in FISSURE Universe: Episode 5, where they performed poorly and failed to reach the playoff stage.

On August 2, 2025, Nigma Galaxy was eliminated from Clavision DOTA2 Masters 2025: Snow-Ruyi. The team finished in 6th place and earned $43,750.

In September, Nigma Galaxy participated in The International 2025 where they managed to reach the playoffs but lost in the lower bracket and exited the tournament, finishing in 5-6th place. In October, Nigma Galaxy participated in FISSURE Universe: Episode 7, where they lost in the lower bracket semifinale of the playoffs and left the tournament. At FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2, the team failed to make the playoffs and left the championship in the group stage. At PGL Wallachia Season 6, Nigma finished in 12th-14th place.

At DreamLeague Season 27, Nigma finished their performance in the group stage with a score of 3-3.

On March 1, it was announced that SumaiL SumaiL Hassan left Nigma Galaxy after four years with the team.
