Bio
David MoonMeander Tan is a professional Dota 2 player and coach.
MoonMeander popularity grew thanks to his streams of the MOBA game Heroes of Newerth. Before David got acquainted with Dota, he played professionally for compLexity Gaming.
In 2014, the player left the HoN discipline and formed his own team with friends who shared his past. The team initially played under the name Black Sheep, but later renamed itself Dream Destroyers.
On August 19, 2014, Tan left Dream Destroyers and joined StayGreen. Later, the company was acquired by compLexity Gaming. The team qualified for The International 2015 and took 9th-12th places.
After The International 2015, David joined the newly formed (monkey) Business team, which was later signed by the OG organization. The team showed great results and won The Frankfurt Major 2015 and then the fifth season of the DreamLeague in 2016. Also, the guys qualified for The International 2016, but failed to win.
In 2017, the player joined Digital Chaos, starting the season with average results. But this did not prevent the team from reaching the top four at The Boston Major.
In 2023, David changed his direction and became the coach of the TSM team, with whom he worked for one year. Later, he became the coach of Team Undying.
In January 2024, MoonMeander became the coach of Tundra Esports. Under his leadership, the team won prizes at DreamLeague Season 22, Elite League 2024, ESL One Birmingham 2024, DreamLeague Season 23 and Riyadh Masters 2024, and also managed to qualify for The International 2024 where finished in 3rd place.
Later, Tundra finished in the top 3 at PGL Wallachia: Season 2 and became a finalist at BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024. At DreamLeague Season 24 the team finished in 5th place. In December, Tundra finished the BLAST SLAM I event with a 2nd place finish.
On February 2, 2025, Tundra Esports won FISSURE PLAYGROUND and followed it up with a victory at BLAST SLAM II. In March, Team Spirit ended Tundra 's winning streak at DreamLeague Season 25. At the subsequent PGL Wallachia: Season 3, the team also became a finalist. After the roster changes, the squad results worsened: the team only placed 6th at FISSURE Universe Ep.4. In April, Tundra Esports placed in the top 3 at ESL One Raleigh 2025.
On June 27, 2025, the team was eliminated from PGL Wallachia Season 5, after losing in the first round of the playoffs.
In July 2025, Tundra Esports participated in Riyadh Masters 2025, finishing in 4rd place and earning $200,000 in prize money.
In August 2025, Tundra Esports participated in Clavision DOTA2 Masters 2025: Snow-Ruyi. The team managed to reach the grand final but lost it. Tundra took 2nd place and received $126,000 in prize money.
At the end of October, Tundra participated in FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2, where they finished in 6th–8th place after losing in the first round of the Playoff stage. At the following tournament, PGL Wallachia Season 6, the team finished in 7–8th place.
At the beginning of December, Tundra competed at BLAST Slam V, where they became champions. In the grand final, the team failed to overcome Team Yandex, losing 3-0. It is worth noting that Tundra has participated in every final of the BLAST series, and this victory marked their fourth consecutive championship. At DreamLeague Season 27, the team finished in fifth place, and at BLAST SLAM VI, the team didn't even make it to the playoffs.
At the end of March, Tundra became the champion of ESL One Birmingham 2026, defeating Team Yandex with a 3:1 score in the grand final.
The next tournament for the team was PGL Wallachia Season 8, where they played with stand-in. The team finished in 15-16 place, marking one of their worst results.
