Bio
Nicholas Gunnar Lopez is a professional Dota 2 player from the USA. During his career he managed to play in several regions, namely: Europe, Southeast Asia, North and South America.
Gunnar appeared on the pro scene in 2017, playing in different packs and participating in small online tournaments. In his first year, Nicholas managed to qualify for The International 2017, but failed to get any further. In 2018, the American Midlaner continued to change mixes, having managed to play in South America, but his attempts remained unsuccessful. However, in 2019, as a member of TEAM TEAM Nicholas was able to make it to his first major LAN tournament ESL One Mumbai 2019, where the team placed in the top 5-6. Next, Gunnar was kicked out of the collective. A couple months later he was invited to a team from Southeast Asia, Team Jinesbrus, where Nicholas, along with Njengnar 23savage Tiramahanon, took 2nd place in the closed qualifications for The International 2019. He was later spotted by Peter ppd Dagher and invited to Ninjas in Pyjamas. In the new team, Nicholas will appear in several big LAN-tournaments, in which NIP will do without high-profile victories. In early 2020, Gunnar was kicked out of Ninjas In Pyjamas. What followed was a series of setbacks with different stacks, after which Lopez decides to put together a mix with Janar Monkey Clinton called 4 Zoomers, where he acted as team captain.
With the advent of the DPC leagues, 4 Zoomers instantly established itself in the 1st division of North America as a strong representative of the region, but failed to break through to serious tournaments. Despite the lack of high results, the team continues to play in the same lineup, retaining a slot in the first division. In 2022, roaster 4 Zoomers signed the club Nouns. Under the new clan tag, Nicholas enters the top 2 at The International 2022: North America Qualifier, but never makes it to the tournament after losing The International 2022: Last Chance Qualifier.
In 2023, Gunnar, along with Nouns, did not have a particularly successful season. Among the team's achievements were a second place at BTS Pro Series Season 14: Americas and a third place at European Pro League Season 9. However, this year Nouns managed to qualify for The International 2023, where the club finished in 7th-8th place.
In November 2023, the Nouns roster experienced a disbandment. But Gunnar was too valuable player, so he is invited to the renewed roster with which the team plays at ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023, where he takes 2nd place and fails to qualify for the tournament in Malaysia.
In January 2024, Nouns participates in the qualifiers for BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024, DreamLeague Season 22 and ESL One Birmingham 2024. They managed to pass the qualifiers only at BB Dacha Dubai 2024, at the other qualifiers the team took 2nd place. At the tournament in Dubai Nouns failed to get out of the group stage and took 9-12th place.
Later Gunnar and Nouns took part in qualifying for such tournaments as Elite League 2024, DreamLeague Season 23 and PGL Wallachia: Season #1, two of which they managed to qualify for. Thus, the team took 21st place on Elite League , and on PGL Wall achia - 14.
Closer to summer, the qualifiers for the two most important tournaments of the year - The International 2024 and Riyadh Masters 2024 - started, through which the guys made it to the main stage without much difficulty.
At the Riyadh Masters 2024, the team performed poorly, finishing in 18th place. Immediately after that, Nouns participated in the Elite League Season 2, where they finished in 6th place. At the next event, FISSURE Universe Ep. 3, the roster failed to reach the playoffs and ended their participation by finishing in 6th place.
At The International 2024, Nouns took 9-12th place, losing to BetBoom Team in the lower bracket of the playoffs. Later, the team successfully qualified for DreamLeague Season 24 and BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024, as well as competed at PGL Wallachia Season 2, where they took 6th place. In the middle of October, Nouns did make an appearance at BetBoom Dacha Belgrade, but didn't even advance out of the group, finishing in last place at the tournament.
After a disappointing performance at the DreamLeague series tournament, Nouns representatives announced that the organization is suspending its activities in the Dota 2 discipline due to financial difficulties.
