“I considered a move to Tundra”, — Yatoro on his return from inactivity and career plans
Head of Creative at Team Spirit Maria Marple Yermolina released a two-hour interview with carry player Illya Yatoro Mulyarchuk. In it, he spoke in detail about his approach to the game, his return from inactivity, and the team’s internal processes.
One of the first topics discussed was the state of the pro scene, particularly the level of discipline among players. Yatoro noted that most players do not approach the game professionally and make basic mistakes.
All Dota players are incredibly low-skilled. Everyone makes a billion mistakes and just plays for fun. There is no strict discipline in Dota like in traditional sports. I have a couple of notebooks where I write down my thoughts, but that is mostly for myself.
Mulyarchuk also recalled that after going inactive in 2024, he received several offers, including interest from Tundra Esports. At that time, he was temporarily replaced by Alan Satanic Galiamov.
When I was inactive, Tundra contacted me. They offered good conditions and a strong team. Liquid and BetBoom Team also reached out, but I declined. I went to Korb3n and asked if there was a slot in Spirit, and he said yes. That is how I returned to the team. Alan had to be kicked, and that was a bad decision, but he still gained experience.

The player also spoke about internal issues within the team following the departure of coach Airat Silent Gaziev and captain Yaroslav Miposhka Naidenov. According to him, the team lacked guidance, and some responsibilities had to be taken on by the players themselves. When Milan MiLAN Kozomara joining the team, the situation improved.
There were many disagreements between Yaroslav and Airat, often leading to conflicts of interest. After Miposhka left, Panto replaced him, but the situation repeated itself. When Silent also departed, I took over drafting responsibilities, but it was difficult — overall, it became harder for the team to progress.
Now MiLAN has joined, and everything has become much easier. He took over drafting, and so far everything is going well.
Speaking about his future goals, Yatoro noted that he does not consider winning The International his main priority. For him, consistent results throughout the season matter more. In conclusion, Illya added that he would like to take up gardening and be closer to nature and harmony.
