Xtreme Gaming will face Team Falcons in the grand final of The International 2025
In the opening match of the final day, Xtreme Gaming once again faced PARIVISION in the lower bracket final of The International 2025. The series ended with a 2:1 victory for Xtreme, allowing them to advance to the grand final, where Team Falcons are already waiting. The European team finished their run at the tournament, securing third place.
Earlier, PARIVISION had already met Xtreme Gaming in the playoff stage: back then, in the upper bracket semifinal, Vladimir No[o]ne Minenko’s squad confidently secured a 2:0 win. However, the key to success against PARIVISION lies in timely bans of Slark and Monkey King, heroes favored by support Edgar 9Class Naltakyan. Just yesterday, Team Falcons clearly demonstrated this strategy by sending PARIVISION down to the lower bracket.
On the first map of the series, Xtreme followed their plan by banning all of 9Class’ key heroes. However, their opponents surprised them with a Void Spirit pick for the position four role. The game lasted 42 minutes, and the Chinese team managed to secure only six kills.
The third map of the series turned out to be one of the most spectacular of the tournament. The match lasted over 60 minutes, but notably, by the 40th minute, the teams had only made seven kills, playing with extreme caution. Despite trailing by 20,000 gold, Xtreme Gaming managed to come back and destroy their opponent’s Ancient. A turning point came when offlaner Lin Xxs Jin stole the Aegis of the Immortal. We invite you to take a look at this moment:
In post-match interview, the team’s midlaner Guo Xm Hongcheng said that he feels confident and ready to win:
I have no nerves, and I’m already looking forward to the grand final. We are absolutely ready. PARIVISION played amazingly, but they wouldn’t have beaten Falcons, so we had to advance.
No[o]ne also gave an interview, in which he acknowledged the strength of the opponent and pointed out that his last-hero choice wasn’t ideal:
I was sure we could win the tournament. We did a lot of work, fixed many mistakes, and were prepared, but unfortunately, it didn’t happen. The last map lasted more than an hour, and I was playing Beastmaster - definitely not the hero I’d like to play in such long games. Thanks to all the fans for your support, it’s precisely for you that I keep playing Dota 2.
