The win rate of Radiant has increased in the new patch

With the release of patch 7.38, the Radiant forces have become even more dominant in Dota 2. Historically, they have had a slightly higher win rate compared to Dire, and now this trend continues to grow.

Previously, the win rate of Radiant was 51.9%, and in the updated version, it has increased to 54.2%. This significant improvement makes Radiant even more attractive for players.

The first possible reason: with the release of the new patch, the first Tormentor now appears at the 15-minute mark from the lower side of the map, making contesting for Radiant more convenient, as the distance is shorter for them than for Dire, and there is a river flowing from the base to the Tormentor that increases movement speed, allowing Radiant to react faster to the appearance of this crucial objective. Dire also has such a river, but they gain the advantage over Tormentor only after the 20-minute mark when the Tormentor moves to the top.

The second possible reason lies in the neutral creep camps: for Radiant, it is easier to pull or block the large neutral camp with a ward on the safe lane, and the movement speed between the small neutral camps is 1 second faster for Radiant, which leads to higher farming speed in the early game.

Statistically, Dire has fewer creeps killed and a more difficult lane control than Radiant. It is also worth noting the mid lane, where attacking a Radiant hero is more challenging due to the map's terrain. All these factors contribute to the higher win percentage of Radiant.
